Terms and conditions

Last updated 3 October 2026

These terms apply when you buy or use downloadable clinical-education modules and units from store.thefootindiabetes.com (the "Store"). The Store is run by The Foot in Diabetes Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13870866, registered office 2nd Floor, 5 High St, Westbury on Trym, Bristol, United Kingdom, BS9 3BY. You can reach us at info@thefootindiabetes.co.uk. By placing an order you agree to these terms.

1. What we sell

We sell one-off digital downloads: clinical-education modules and units, supplied as PDF documents, narrated MP4 video and, where one exists, an audio file. Each purchase is a single payment. Nothing renews and nothing is charged again unless you place another order.

2. Paddle is the seller of record

Our order process is run by Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), our merchant of record. Paddle sells the products to you, takes payment, charges and accounts for VAT, and issues your receipt. Prices shown in the Store are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Your card or bank statement will show PADDLE.NET. Paddle's own terms and privacy notice apply to the payment part of your order. We do not see or store your card details.

3. Your library and downloads

After you pay, we email a sign-in link to the address you gave at checkout. The link signs you in to your library, where you can download the files you have bought. Sign-in links can be used once and expire. You can ask for a new one at any time from the library page. Keep the files you download; they remain yours to use under the licence below.

4. Licence

Everything you buy is licensed to you as an individual, for your own personal study and professional development. The full wording is on the licence page. In short, you may not share the files or your download links, pass them on, or upload them to shared drives or learning platforms.

5. Refunds

At checkout you ask for immediate access to your downloads and acknowledge that once you download any file from the order you lose your statutory 14-day right to cancel. Separately, our own policy is more generous than the law requires: you can have a full refund within 14 days of purchase if nothing from the order has been downloaded. After a download, a faulty file will be replaced. The details are on the refund policy page. Nothing in these terms or the refund policy affects your statutory rights where a file is faulty or not as described.

6. Not clinical or professional advice

The material is educational. It does not replace your own clinical judgement, local protocols, or the requirements of your professional body or regulator. You remain responsible for your own practice and scope of practice.

7. Certificates

When you finish a module or unit you can record your study and enter the name you want shown on a certificate. A certificate is a record of self-declared study. Self-declared study, not accredited continuing professional development. It is not a qualification and has not been accredited by any professional or regulatory body.

8. Intellectual property

All content in the Store and in the files you download, including text, figures, slides, video, audio, branding and design, is owned by The Foot in Diabetes Ltd or its licensors. Buying a product gives you a licence to use it as set out in the licence page. It does not transfer ownership of any of our intellectual property to you.

9. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Store and your library available, but we cannot promise uninterrupted access. We may update modules and units to keep them current, and may change prices for future orders. A price change does not affect an order you have already placed. We will keep your library working for the files you have bought for as long as we run the Store, and we will give you reasonable notice if we ever plan to close it, so that you can download your files.

10. Our responsibility to you

We do not exclude or limit liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not a foreseeable result of our breach, or for business losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it.

11. Your data

How we use your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of the page shows when they were last changed. The terms in force when you placed an order apply to that order.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, although if you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom you may also bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Contact
